Our Programmes

Creative Studies

Creative Studies is an original programme created by Uganda Creates, designed to encourage creativity and personal development through structured activities. It uses themed learning to increase the participants’ awareness of themselves, their community and the world in which they live.

Participants use their imaginations to create stories, characters and role-plays. The programme runs throughout the year, encouraging each participant to set themselves goals and achieve small levels of success throughout the course.

Whizzkids Utd

WhizzKids United is a life skills programme developed by Africaid in South Africa to target the HIV epidemic. The programme uses football as a fun and interactive tool to teach children the valuable life skills that will prevent them from contracting the HIV virus and go on to live happy, healthy lives. We partner with Africaid to deliver the programme in Uganda to girls and boys within the communities in which we work.

The programme has been endorsed by the secondary schools in Bombo and is run as part of the curriculum in 5 of the schools.

An original programme written by wannabeamazin – participants learn a range of artistic skills, from basic drawing and painting, to shading and story boarding, with different themes developing over a number of sessions.

Coaching in football, netball and volleyball is provided, encouraging players to work together as a team. Each community then competes against local communities to put their practice to the test!
Community Tournaments

We run regular ‘Community Tournaments’ (3 times a year), where the community is brought together to celebrate their work with a sports tournament, arts competition and health talk delivered by a health worker.
English and Computer Classes

Out programme manager in Bombo, Vincent, has taken the initiative to organise English lessons and basic computer training to adults that attend our resource centre in Bajjo.
